Statement by the citizens of the ChRI temporarily resident in Georgia
SIA CHECHENPRESS, November 10, 2007
As citizens of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeriya who have been forced to take a temporary residence in Georgia have received with regret and bewilderment the news about the now former President of the ChRI declaring the North Caucasus Emirate and proclaiming himself the Emir of the Emirate – abolishing all the state attributes and offices of the ChRI. We therefore state that we fully support the statement by the Foreign Minister of the ChRI Akhmed Zakaev. We demand that other members of the ChRI government and parliament should speak out against this outrageous fact that the President D.Umarov, acting on the advice of M.Udugov and his brother I.Umarov, has confronted us with.
We have always refused the many emissaries of Kadyrov who begged us to come back to Chechnya and promised money rewards and a ‘glorious future’. This was one of Putin’s many projects to return refugees to the so-called ‘peaceful motherland’ and it has failed. Yes, some of us did believe, or rather, lost hope that we could ever win. Let Allah be their judge. Fortunately, they were few. When their plan had failed, the emissaries took some Georgian citizens with them to ‘make up the numbers’ and left.
We still believed, however, Dala muk’alah’, and still believe that the day will come when we shall celebrate our victory over the aggressors. We shall expel them from our sacred land and go back home. Home which is not the Khalifate-Emirate in the style of Udugov, but the independent Chechen Republic of Ichkeirya. The motherland whose freedom the finest representatives of our people have given their lives for. Including our leaders – Djokhar Dudaev, Aslan Maskhadov and Abdul-Khalim Sadulaev. Etsu vezachu Allah1a g1azot k’obal doyla tseran!
After each namaz we ask Allah to help our brothers and sisters back home, to help the mujahadeen in their difficult struggle with the most treacherous of enemies, the Russian aggressors and their henchmen.
We would like to remind D.Umarov that the fighters who were fighting next to him, in the first and second wars, were mostly Chechens, our sons and our brothers. It was ourselves and our relatives who went to defend the independence of our motherland. Nobody could make us leave this path. Neither Putin, nor Udugov with all their propaganda.
We hope that the ChRI Parliament and government will come together in this difficult time for our motherland and find a wise solution to this political crisis.
Dala a’tto boyla vay! Dala t1a’h’e ba’rkate yoyla vay.
Allah1u Akbar!!!
