15th Anniversary of the Massacre of Ingushs
SIA CHECHENPRESS, October 31, 2007
Last Friday, members of the Ingush Diaspora and human rights activists rallied near the Solovki Stone at Lubyakna, Moscow, to mark the anniversary of clashes in Prigorodny Area, North Osetia.
In 1992, the Russian invaders deported the Ingush population from North Osetia. The deportation was followed by mass murders of Ingushs. After these events, practically all the Ingushs were forced to leave North Osetia.
The Russian authorities presented that crime against Ingushs as the ‘Osetian-Ingush conflict’. For the last 15 years, they do not allow Ingushs to come back to their home, under the pretext of ‘Osetian protests’.
