Military Clashes in Chechnya’s Mountainous Areas

Kavkaz-Centre reports, citing the Chechen command, that a Chechen diversion group has attacked a Russian BTR armoured vehicle with machine-guns, and destroyed it at the spot, on 10 September near Dargo village. 4 Russian invaders were killed. 2 Chechen troops were lightly wounded.

According to a source in the Chechen command, a Chechen force led by Amir Ilman has blown up a Russian UAZ vehicle near Selmantauzen village, Vedeno District. The Russians lost two people killed and two wounded.

On 11 September there was a combat with Russian invaders in a forest in Shato District. The invaders lost three men killed; the Chechens lost one. Following the combat, Russian artillery and missile-launchers opened fire on that forest, which went on for several hours.
