ChRI Independence Day conference in Oslo

The 16th anniversary of the Independence of Chechen Republic of Ichkeria was marked by an international conference in Oslo, capital of Norway, on 6 September.
Participants of the conference included Ilyas Musayev, ChRI 1st Deputy Foreign Minister; Usman Ferzauli, ChRI Deputy Foreign Minister; Said-Hasan Abumuskimov, former ChRI Vice President; Aminat Saiyeva, the ChRI President’s Representatives in the Baltic states; Visit Ibragimov, the ChRI President’s Representative in Austria and the Director of the Liaison Department for Vainakhs in exile; Mairbek Taramov, the ChRI President’s Representative in Sweden; Umar Aiburtayev and Rubati Mitsayeva, respectively the ChRI President’s Representative in Poland and Mr. Aiburtayev’s First Deputy; Shapi Sheikhi, the ChRI President’s Representative in Norway; Anzor Maskhadov, the leader of Chechen community in Norway; Ivar Amundsen, the ChRI Honorary Consul in Norway; Adam Borowski, the ChRI Honorary Consul in Poland; A.-H. Tsutsulayev, the ChRI Minister for Sport; and others.
ChRI Armed Forces’ Brigade General Isa Munayev was present as the guest of honour at the conference.
The conference speakers Usman Ferzauli, Ivar Amundsen, Said-Hasan Abumuskimov, Ilyas Musayev, Aminat Saiyeva, Adam Borowski, Visit Ibragimov, Isa Munayev, Rubati Mitsayeva, A.-H. Tsutsulayev and others praised the Chechen people’s bravery and self-denial shown in their centuries-long armed struggle against the Russian invaders.
All the speakers expressed their complete support to ChRI President Dokka Umarov, ChRI Parliament and ChRI Constitution.
The day before the conference Ilyas Musayev, ChRI 1st Deputy Foreign Minister, chaired an extended meeting of the ChRI President’s Representatives, ChRI Honorary Consuls and leaders of the Chechen communities in Europe.
The participants of the conference issued an appeal to the leaders of international organizations supporting the political protest action of Said-Emin Ibragimov, Chechen human rights activist. The appeal calls to consider Mr. Ibragimov’s demands on the basis of the provisions and principles of the international law.
