Hard position of the Chechen refugees in Austrian Tirol

March, 9, 2006. Despite of past in May of the last year massive strike with participation of 60 Chechens, them still force to live in metal containers. Now in the Austrian province Tirol are 1189 Chechens who have submitted on a political asylum. They are scattered on 22 "hostels", including containers. From them the status of the refugee the last year has received only 60 persons. The number of refusals is not informed. This year position is even worse. From 14 considered applications 10 were negative, and positive only four. Thus, positively it was solved only 28 % of applications that is far from ostensibly 90 % of which Austria boasted earlier.

Moreover, though Chechens did not break any laws in Tirol, them as real Austrian offenders with recent force to work at socially useful works for 3 euros per day, transfers the Caucasus - centre referring to Tyrolean site Mein Tirol.
